This will complete the hearing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three-person panel will then<strong> <\/strong>retire to consider the evidence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel consists of an Employment Judge who is a legally qualified lawyer or barrister who chairs the hearing. The judge is assisted by two Lay Members. They are non-legally qualified individuals chosen for their real-world experience and understanding of workplace dynamics. One is an employee or worker representative, usually drawn from a background like trade unions.
