This episode was widely seen as an attempt by internal opponents of the Vice Chancellor to undermine and discredit her leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University clearly needs to implement urgent reforms. We can&#8217;t carry on like we&#8217;ve been doing over the last five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This now presents an opportunity for renewal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope that the Vice Chancellor will be able to secure the appointment of both a new Chief Financial Officer and a new Registrary, helping to stabilise the University\u2019s leadership and lay firmer foundations for the next chapter in Cambridge\u2019s governance<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Registrary of the University of Cambridge, Ms Emma Rampton, has announced that she will step down from her role on 31 December 2025 here.
